Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape - Basic Educational Requirements & Experience: Trade Tested Mechanical or Electrical Artisan Health and Safety Qualification MS Office (Excellent MS Excel) In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and work based learning procedures Industry experience in training and development/apprenticeship mentorship Responsibilities: To act as the point of contact and liaison between the apprentices and their supervisors. Provide outstanding support to apprentices during the period of their apprenticeship and provide mediation if necessary. Conduct detailed and timely reviews with apprentices and supervisors/management monitoring all aspects of the training schedule as agreed on the individual training plans, including on the job progress.
Respond to queries from management and apprentices concerning the apprenticeship programme. To ensure all regulatory Health and Safety standards are maintained. Compile and evaluate statistical data on apprentice performance and make recommendations and take action as necessary to achieve agreed objectives.
Participate in regular meetings to ensure progress consistency, quality and support is maintained. Be involved in all aspects of apprentice recruitment. Use management information systems to monitor learner performance against the whole learning plans and take appropriate action where required.
Conduct annual performance appraisals. Undertake training and up-skilling to ensure full effectiveness in the role. Carry out all duties with regards to Health and Safety Positively promote equality of opportunity.
